Jara Beach Resort

To a foreigner, everywhere in Lagos, Nigeria feels like a nightclub. Whether it’s a restaurant, a ride on a tricycle or even a unisex hair salon, there’s music and entertainment. If you’re looking for something more light and breezy, there’s a beautiful beach resort with aesthetics, delicious food and cocktails, and the most welcoming staff not far from Lekki.

Jara Beach Resort offers day passes, and overnight options. We opted for a day pass with unlimited alcohol. The weekday pass was N50K (about $30.58) This came with lunch, unlimited cocktails and snacks. We were able to have access to the resort and beach from 12pm to 6pm.

We were welcomed by our own hosts that catered to us the entire day. After our tour of the grounds, we ordered our meals and cocktails and then enjoyed some outdoor games.

We played miniature golf, giant connect four, tic tac toe and corn hole before it began to rain. We were able to take our meal inside one of the many seating areas and then after we relocated to the recreation room where we finished our day drinking cocktails, playing 8 ball pool and table tennis.

Before leaving, we entered the beach for a quick run through the sand and waves. The entire day was fun, laidback and relaxing. There were also a few groups of other visitors who were friendly and made the day fun as well. We will visit Jara Beach again and would recommend it to locals and foreigners in Lagos!
